Biography
Our time together can be short and solution-focused or much longer, depending on the nature of your concerns and your progress in therapy. I bring compassion and insight to each session using a collaborative, nonjudgmental, systemic approach. I aim to create a safe place for clients to address issues using evidence-based interventions. I use several approaches to therapy which include modalities such as trauma-informed, EMDR, DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, ACT, and motivational interviewing. I am committed to helping individuals, families, adolescents, and children overcome emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral challenges.
I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. I became a mother when I was young, and that experience taught me how to manage the complexity of life. I am now married with three children: a 15-year-old son and 4-year-old boy/girl twins. My passions are spending time with family, traveling, and serving the community. During my free time, I enjoy binge-watching Netflix. I, Keisha, cannot heal you…but I can definitely walk alongside you, as we uncover things that you might not have been aware of prior to therapy and give you the tools, practices, and support as you heal yourself.
