Biography
Our time together can be short and solution-focused or much longer, depending on the nature of your concerns and your progress in therapy. Allow me to guide you with learning to trust yourself enough to choose you by learning the proper tools to help you meet your therapeutic goals. I provide a supportive, culturally competent, judgment-free environment, specifically tailored to the individual needs of my clients. I incorporate a person-centered approach with solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and strength-based therapy interventions. I use several approaches to therapy which include modalities such as trauma informed, EMDR, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing. I am committed to helping individuals, families, adolescents, and children overcome emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral challenges.

I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. If you’re experiencing challenges with managing your emotions, feeling stuck, dealing with past hurt, trauma, resentment, failure, shame, guilt, rejection, comparing yourself to others, poor boundaries, putting others first, or having trouble with handling uncomfortable situations in healthy ways that feel comfortable for you, you are not alone! When old tools no longer work, we must learn new tools to help us grow and thrive! My clients enjoy my down-to-earth personality allowing them to feel safe, trust, share, and grow! I, Keisha, cannot heal you…but I can walk alongside you, as we uncover things that you might not have been aware of prior to therapy and give you the tools, practices, and support as you heal yourself.
